ULS-Guidepost

Instrumental Landing System for heavy and ultra-heavy fixed-wing drones.

ULS-Guidepost consists of a set of infrared LED beacons that are positioned along the perimeter of the landing area. These beacons emit infrared light pulses that are detected by a receiver mounted on the drone. The system then uses the received data to calculate the drone’s position and altitude in real-time, guiding it to a safe and precise landing on the designated spot.

The ULS-Guidepost is especially useful for applications such as search and rescue operations, scientific expeditions, military operations, and disaster response efforts, where quick and accurate landing of drones is critical. The system is designed to operate in a wide range of environmental conditions, from high winds and extreme temperatures to harsh weather conditions, making it a reliable choice for various outdoor missions.

It is mainly used to provide landings of heavy and ultra-heavy drones. The system is mobile and can be quickly deployed to any location and is usually used to set up temporary airfields and or to equip temporary (emergency) landing runways for drones.

Setting up a temporary airfield for drones

ULS-Guidepost can be used to set up a temporary airfield for drones. This is particularly useful in situations where there is a need to establish a drone operation in a remote or temporary location. The ULS-Guidepost system can be quickly deployed to the location, and the guideposts can be set up to mark the boundaries of the landing area. The system then enables precision landing of fixed-wing drones within the marked landing area, ensuring safe and accurate landings even in challenging environments.

Emergency landing runways set up

The ULS-Guidepost system can be quickly deployed to any location and used to equip temporary landing runways for drones. This makes it particularly useful in emergency situations where a drone needs to land safely and quickly. The system can also be used to set up temporary airfields for drone operations in remote locations where there may not be existing infrastructure.
