ULS-Guidepost consists of a set of infrared LED beacons that are positioned along the perimeter of the landing area. These beacons emit infrared light pulses that are detected by a receiver mounted on the drone. The system then uses the received data to calculate the drone’s position and altitude in real-time, guiding it to a safe and precise landing on the designated spot.
The ULS-Guidepost is especially useful for applications such as search and rescue operations, scientific expeditions, military operations, and disaster response efforts, where quick and accurate landing of drones is critical. The system is designed to operate in a wide range of environmental conditions, from high winds and extreme temperatures to harsh weather conditions, making it a reliable choice for various outdoor missions.
It is mainly used to provide landings of heavy and ultra-heavy drones. The system is mobile and can be quickly deployed to any location and is usually used to set up temporary airfields and or to equip temporary (emergency) landing runways for drones.
